Bio
Julie’s mom, Jeanne, was an incredibly bright, independent woman who suffered several strokes and was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia in 2006) and in what seemed like an instant, she was no longer independent. During the year that followed her mom’s diagnosis, Julie received an intense education in the various stages of long-term care and health care, which include home care to assisted living to full skilled nursing and memory care to hospice within a year. With all the pain that went along with that year, there was a surprising upside. Having been a technology expert and business leader, this personal experience became a life-changing introduction to healthcare heroes caring for Julie’s mom and family. These healthcare heroes and Julie’s entrepreneurial experience inspired her to start Open Arms Solutions.
Open Arms, now in our 17th year, has helped thousands of families better understand and support their loved ones with Dementia, Parkinson’s, Stroke, and other Chronic Diseases with In-Home Care.
I live in Deerfield with my husband and enjoy spending time with our adult Children.
