Robert Schur is a Director, Fiduciary Advisory Services with BMO Family Office
Robert specializes in providing customized trust and estate planning and administration for high-net-worth individuals and families and delivering solutions to meet overall financial, wealth management and philanthropy goals. Robert joined the organization in 2021.
Robert earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University, and a JD, Magna Cum Laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Robert is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Florida.
Robert is actively involved in his community. Robert teaches trusts and estates at DePaul University College of Law and previously taught at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He has spoken and written on numerous estate planning topics. Robert was a volunteer teacher with Lawyers in the Classroom, teaching basic legal concepts to fifth grade social studies classes in Chicago Public Schools. He also volunteers with the Wills for Heroes Program, preparing estate planning documents for military, veterans, and first responders. Robert leads a study group of attorneys, accountants, and financial planners, who meet monthly to discuss the latest changes and news in the field.
Robert resides in Northbrook with his wife and son. Robert is an avid baseball fan who has visited all 30 major league ballparks and several Japanese stadiums and keeps score at every game he attends.
