Bio
As the Managing Principal of True Wealth Strategies, Scott shares the
responsibility of leading the organization with Mark Pietsch. Scott has
achieved many industry accolades including qualifying for Guardian Life
Insurance Company's Leaders Club over 30 times and qualifying for the
General Agent's & Managers Association's (GAMA) highest International
Management Award (IMA) 15 times. Scott has been a qualifier numerous
times of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), Court of the Table and
the prestigious MDRT Top of the Table.
Outside of managing the firm, Scott is very active in the financial
services industry. He previously held numerous roles on the executive
board for NAIFA, the National Association of Insurance and Financial
Advisors - Chicago Region, including Treasurer, Vice President,
President, and then National Committeeman. In, 2014 Scott was
honored as the recipient of the NAIFA Leadership in Life Award based
on dedicated service. Scott is a current member of the insurance
industry associations Finseca (formerly AALU) and NAIFA. Scott has
been an advocate to Guardian Life Insurance Company's home office
serving on numerous committees. Currently, Scott serves on
Guardian's Product Development Committee, Underwriting & Policy
Service Committee, Field Technology Committee, and in the past
served on Guardian's Field Advisory Board with senior management.
Numerous trade journals have published Scott's work including National
Underwriter, Advisor Today, Life Association News, and Health
Insurance Underwriter. He has been quoted in such publications as
Crains Chicago, Bloomberg Wealth Manager and The Chicago Tribune.
Scott has also testified before the state of Illinois Pension Committee.
Scott lives in the Chicago suburbs with his wife Noelle. They have four
children, and he enjoys spending time with his family. His hobbies include
skiing, guitar, boating, and golf. Scott is the past president of the Springboard Organization, a non-for-profit that supports after school programs in challenged neighborhoods in Chicago, and he is on the board of trustees for Canal Shores a non-for-profit that assists in youth golf for kids from under privledged communities.
