Overview of Presentation:

Fran and Michael will address techniques estate planners can use in adscence of a prenup.  Highlighting what can be done to protect clients at varioius stages of their lives.

Speaker Bios:

FRANCES H. KRASNOW, JD, is a partner in the law firm of Harrison & Held, LLP, with extensive experience in all aspects of complex family law.  Fran is an arbitrator, a frequent CLE presenter, and she serves on several boards, including the Northwestern Law Board and Lake Forest Bank & Trust Co.  Fran has been recognized by her peers through her selection to Best Lawyers in America (2008-2016); the Leading Lawyers Network, “limited to less than five 5% of all lawyers licensed to practice” in Illinois (2004-2016); and she has received the prestigious ranking of AV-Preeminent, “the highest level of professional excellence” from Martindale-Hubbell, for more than 25 consecutive years. Fran earned her B.A. degree, with High Distinction and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Michigan.  She received her J.D. degree from Northwestern University, where she was awarded the American College of Trial Lawyers Medal for Excellence in Advocacy.

MICHAEL C. CRAVEN, JD, CPA, LLM is a partner with Harrison & Held, LLP. He represents clients in all areas of family and collaborative law. Michael draws on his previous work experiences in accounting and as a tax attorney to resolve complex financial issues. He has authored articles, lectured and taught classes on a variety of legal topics. Michael is a member of the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a select group of attorneys who are recognized as preeminent family law practitioners with high levels of knowledge, skill and integrity. In addition to being named a Best Lawyers in America© (Family Law) in 2015 and 2016, Michael has been recognized every year since 2009, by the Leading Lawyers Network and Illinois Super Lawyer as being among the top lawyers in Illinois.
